Man Impersonating County Board Officials Arrested For Defrauding Job Seekers

Police in collaboration with the Migori county public service board have arrested a middle-aged man accused of impersonating members of Migori County public service board with the intention of coning job seekers.

The county public service board Chief Executive Officer Andrew Okatch said the suspect was arrested around Masara trading centre in Suna West Sub County by police officers who were trailing him.

He said the suspect is currently in police custody pending arraignment.

Okatch said one of the people who have been conned by the suspect recorded a statement adding that he also recorded a statement on behalf of the board.

The county public service board chief executive officer has appealed to Migori County residents to be very wary of cons out to lure them with fake jobs.
