The Premier League title defence for Manchester City will commence with an away fixture against Chelsea on August 18, marking a showdown between Pep Guardiola and his former assistant Enzo Maresca, now Chelsea’s manager.

Manchester United, the FA Cup winners, will kick off the season at Old Trafford against Fulham on August 16. Ipswich, returning to the Premier League after 22 years, will face Liverpool, now managed by Arne Slot, on August 17.

Leicester, newly promoted, will host Tottenham on August 19. Brighton, led by Fabian Hurzeler, will start their campaign against Everton, while Julen Lopetegui’s West Ham will take on Aston Villa. Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal will host Wolves in their season opener.
