A family in Kipeyok, Loikas village, Maralal, is seeking justice following the tragic rape and murder of their relative, a mother of four, who was attacked while returning home after conducting business in Maralal town on Monday night.

Silvana Loroto, the sister of the late Rose Napeyok, urged the government to apprehend the killers, who remain at large.

In recent days, five women have been assaulted in the area, with two reported rapes occurring near a bush just a few meters from the Samburu county commissioner’s office.

County investigating officer Martin Omumbo confirmed that his office has received two reports of attacks on women and that investigations are currently underway.

Samburu West MP Naisula Lesuuda condemned the incident and called for justice.
