A miscellaneous application that had been filed against Safari Rally driver Maxine Wahome has been withdrawn.

This is after the prosecution made a decision to charge her with murder of the late Asad Khan, who was her fellow rally driver and boyfriend.

The application had been filed by the prosecution in December 2022, to enable them complete investigations into the matter.

The matter will now be mentioned on March 15 before the High Court, where Maxine is expected to answer to charges of murder.

On March 7, the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) has asked the court to detain the suspect at Kilimani police station for mental evaluation prior to filing the plea.
