Nairobi Chief Environment Officer Geoffrey Mosiria has celebrated musician Bien-Aimé Baraza after interpreting his remarks during an interview with Oga Obinna as support for his vision of the city’s leadership.
In a post shared on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, Mosiria said he had expected Bien to challenge him like other guests hosted on the show.
However, he said the musician’s position had surprised him, describing Bien as someone who believes Nairobi should have a governor committed to getting things done.
Mosiria used the post to thank the singer for expressing confidence in his vision for the capital.
Mosiria recounts expectations
“Ekene thought Bien would attack me, just like the other guests he normally hosts on his show. However, it turned out that Bien believes in a Nairobi that is led by a more serious governor, a leader who is committed to getting things done, just like Mosiria,” he wrote.
Mosiria presented the remarks as support for his vision of Nairobi’s leadership. The post reflected his interpretation of the interview rather than a direct quotation from Bien.
Highlighting the exchange, Mosiria sought to show that Bien’s comments aligned with his call for a governor who prioritises action. He also made the musician’s support central to his message, repeating that Nairobi needs leadership measured by what it delivers to residents.
Thanks Bien for backing vision
“Thank you, brother, for believing in me and for standing with the vision of a better Nairobi. I promise I will not let Nairobi down,” Mosiria added.
He used the message to express appreciation for Bien’s support and pledge not to disappoint those who believe in his vision. He did not outline specific plans or projects in the post, instead focusing on leadership and the need to deliver results.
Calls for results in Nairobi
Mosiria ended the post by emphasising what he described as the kind of leadership residents deserve, writing: “Nairobi deserves serious leadership. Nairobi deserves results!”
He then signed off with the slogan, “SIRI NI MOSIRIA!”
His post linked Bien’s remarks to his message about leadership in the capital, placing emphasis on commitment, accountability and service delivery.
