Nyaribari Chache MP Zaheer Jhanda has pulled back the curtain on one of Kenya’s most talked-about car collections, revealing that his fleet runs to approximately 21 vehicles worth millions of shillings.
Jhanda made the disclosure during a candid interview on Obinna TV, which aired on October 26, 2026, offering viewers a rare glimpse into the scale of his automotive passion.
What is Zaheer Jhanda’s favourite ride?
When pressed to name a standout from his collection, the MP did not hesitate. His 2024 Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG G-Wagon, finished in black with a striking red interior, takes the top spot.
“I have 21 cars, my favorite is the G-Wagon,” he said, describing the luxury SUV as an amazing car that simply outshines everything else he owns.
The G63 AMG is among the most sought-after luxury SUVs on the Kenyan market, with prices running well into the tens of millions of shillings.
Jhanda was candid about how his collection breaks down. The bulk of the vehicles are personal cars kept at his home, while the remainder were acquired specifically for political work, including campaigns and constituency activities.
He initially put his personal tally at around 15 before revising the figure upward.
“I have maybe around 15. Maybe not 15, maybe more. Because when I put them together with the campaigns, about maybe 20-21 cars. I have my personal cars at home. Then I have my political cars, which I bought,” he explained.
Despite the luxury that defines the rest of his garage, Jhanda also keeps a Toyota Probox in the mix.
The modest workhorse, a firm favourite among Kenyan traders and civil servants, is reportedly the vehicle he turns to when he wants to move around Nyaribari Chache without drawing attention.
The contrast between a G63 AMG and a Probox in the same collection says a great deal about how the MP navigates his public life.
On questions about how he finances such an extensive fleet, Jhanda kept his answer brief but firm.
“You know, we all work hard,” he said, deflecting any suggestion that the collection was unusual for someone in his position.
