Kenyan content creator Murugi Munyi, known for her insightful content and engaging presence, believes that staying true to yourself and your brand is more important than succumbing to every passing trend.

With a background in digital marketing, Munyi possesses a deep understanding of the intricacies of the online world, and her relatable and honest approach has earned her a dedicated following, making her a respected voice in the content creation community.

Sharing her two cents with other fellow content creators on the internet, Munyi emphasized the importance of staying true to one’s passions and consistently creating content that aligns with their values.

She further encouraged content creators to be selective in embracing trends. Instead of blindly jumping on every social media-hyped bandwagon, she advised focusing on one’s niche and refining it consistently. By doing so, creators can build a loyal following of like-minded individuals who appreciate their unique offerings.

“It is more important to stay true to yourself and your brand than it is to keep up with trends. Evolution is important yes – but you don’t have to jump on every single trend and every single social-media hyped thing,” she noted.

Consistency being a crucial factor in the success of any content creator, Munyi stressed the importance of showing up regularly on the platform of choice. By consistently delivering content that resonates with their audience, creators increase their chances of being noticed and embraced by their dedicated tribe.

“Not everyone can/should be a YouTuber or a TikToker. Whatever your thing is, just keep doing it consistently. On whatever platform you’re on and you’ll be good. Your tribe will find and appreciate you where you are,” Munyi said.

Munyi’s own success can be attributed to her ability to connect with her audience on a deeper level. By staying true to her brand, she has attracted a dedicated tribe of followers who appreciate her unique voice and perspective.

Munyi has faced quite a lot of backlash on social media as a content creator which has undoubtedly earned her the right to have a public opinion on matters of content creation.

Being a half host of the popular Kenyan podcast ‘The Messy Inbetween Podcast’ – TMI Podcast, Munyi has been heavily criticized by netizens on several occasions for the blunt way she addresses topics of concern.
