Musician Nadia Mukami has revealed that although she is still healing from her breakup with fellow singer Arrow Bwoy, she has not given up on finding love again.

Speaking during an interview on Thursday, July 16, 2026, Nadia admitted that balancing motherhood, her music career and business has been challenging, but said she is choosing to keep moving forward instead of dwelling on the past.

‘I can’t pause my career to cry’

The singer said her days are packed with responsibilities, leaving her with little time to process everything she has gone through.

According to Nadia, she continues working while raising her children, adding that motherhood remains her biggest priority.

“I’m going through the healing process. I have to be a mother. I have to work because I cannot pause my career to cry. I cannot pause my career to mourn what has already happened,” Nadia said.

She explained that sleepless nights have become part of her routine as she continues breastfeeding her youngest child while juggling work commitments.

“I don’t remember the last time I slept through the night because my kid is still breastfeeding. Sometimes I come home from work, shower and immediately breastfeed. In the morning I drop my son at school, go to the gym, attend meetings, check on my businesses, then head to rehearsals or the studio. By the time I get home, the kids are already asleep,”she added.

She still believes in love

Despite the heartbreak, Nadia said she remains open to love, although her experiences have changed what she now looks for in a partner.

She explained that she would prefer someone who understands the responsibilities that come with raising children. “I’ve not given up on love. But now I have lessons that I’ve learned. Number one, you must have kids. I can’t date somebody without kids. They won’t understand me if I say I can’t do something because of my children,” she said.

The singer also shared other qualities she would consider important in a future partner.

“You have to be older than me. I can’t be with somebody younger. You have to be really rich, a millionaire. If you’re separated, your ex has to have moved on because I don’t want drama in co-parenting. You also need to be providing for your children, and you shouldn’t be attached to your ex. It should just be co-parenting with no drama,” she explained.

Breakup remains a painful chapter

Nadia’s latest remarks come days after she became emotional while speaking about the end of her relationship with Arrow Bwoy. During the same interview, she admitted that the separation was one of the most painful experiences of her life because she had invested everything into building a family.

She said she had always dreamed of having a stable home and believed the relationship would last, adding that she gave it her best.

The singer also revealed that after the breakup, she shifted her focus to her children, career and businesses, saying her goal is to build an empire that will secure their future.

Although the relationship ended, Nadia maintained that she is choosing healing over bitterness. Her latest remarks also come after Arrow Bwoy recently said he still believes there is hope because of the family they share, even as both continue co-parenting their children.
