Two people died in an accident at Siyapei Bridge, about 9 kilometres east of Narok Police Station, on Monday evening.

According to a police report filed at the Narok police station, the accident involved a Skygo motorbike and an Isuzu FR.

Both vehicles were travelling from Narok to Mai Mahiu when the lorry allegedly pushed the motorbike off the road in an attempt to overtake it.

The collision killed the motorcycle’s rider, 25-year-old Leonard Ntoika Sanoe, and one of the pillion passengers, 60-year-old Parsariro Sanoe.

A second passenger, 40-year-old Muyani Ntaiya, suffered minor injuries and was taken to Narok County Referral Hospital, where he is in stable condition.

The bodies of the deceased were transported to the Narok County Referral Hospital mortuary, where post-mortem examinations are expected to take place.

The truck’s driver fled the scene following the incident and remains at large. Law enforcement officials have launched efforts to locate the suspect, urging anyone with information to come forward.
