Nzoia FC win over Bidco United has Coach Steve Biko upbeat

Nzoia Football Club’s head coach Steve Biko has hailed his players for their splendid performance after picking an unusual win, a 2-1 victory over Bidco United at the weekend.

The sugar millers have gone through a rough patch winning just four times in 21 outings to accumulate 16 points, and in an interview with Citizen Digital, Biko said that the team rectified the mistakes they made against Posta Rangers FC, which worked to their advantage.

“They played really well. We were basically correcting on our mistakes in our game against Posta Rangers; in the previous match we lost all of our chances but in our match against Bidco we utilised them all,” said Biko.

Biko, additionally, revealed that their subsequent losses were occasioned by their laxity hence giving their opponents an advantage, and further promised to do better in their upcoming matches.

“Our prolonged loss was mostly brought about by us letting our opponents score each time. Our win however has improved our confidence and we hope to bring in even more victory,” Biko stated.

The coach also noted the team’s poor position on the chart and in turn assured their fans of their victory in the coming matches in their bid to escape relegation.

“We are at the bottom of the chart. Even so the difference between us and the five teams on top of us is very minimal. If we get three subsequent wins we will go up the chart,” the coach noted.

Nzoia Club are currently at the bottom of the chart with 16 points.
