Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Oburu Oginga has dismissed claims that he is admitted to Nairobi Hospital.
Media reports on Tuesday morning indicated that Oburu was readmitted to hospital under strict visitor restrictions.
In a statement to the press, the Siaya Senator allayed fears about his health, saying he had been in hospital briefly and was “very well”.
“I had only briefly visited the hospital for a general check-up with my doctors and have since returned home,” said Oburu.
Oburu further stated that he was a ‘transparent person’ who would inform the public in case of serious health complications.
”Being sick is a normal human experience and should not alarm anyone. The day I am truly sick, I will inform you all, for I am a very transparent person,” he said.
