A clip from what appears to be years before Brenda and Stevo Simple Boy became a couple has come back to haunt the pair, resurfacing on social media just as their relationship collapsed following a DNA paternity test.

The video shows Brenda being approached during what appears to be a casual street interview. She had short hair and wore a black T-shirt, standing by the roadside when the interviewer popped a seemingly innocent question.

“Who is your celebrity crush?” he asked. Without hesitation, Brenda named Stevo Simple Boy, leaving the interviewer visibly stunned.

“He is your crush?” he pressed.

She did not hold back.

“I love that guy so much. We were made for each other. When I put food on the table, it’s him that I see. When I sleep, I dream about him. Everywhere, it’s Stevo,” she told him.

The interviewer then turned to the camera with a grin:

“Stevo, come for your crush.”

Brenda doubled down, adding:

“Stevo, wherever you are, know that I love you with all my heart. It’s only you.”

The video resurfaced after Stevo announced his split from Brenda following DNA results dated October 10.

The test reportedly revealed mismatches at 11 genetic markers concerning their seven-month-old son, Dragon Junior, leading Stevo to conclude he is not the child’s biological father.

The musician described the situation as deeply painful and asked the public to respect his privacy as he redirects his energy towards his music career.

Brenda, however, pushed back, claiming Stevo had been aware of questions surrounding the paternity well before the test was conducted.

The old clip, now viewed through a very different lens, triggered a wave of reactions online:
