Police pursue notorious gang after armed robbery in Parklands eatery

Police at Parklands police station have launched a manhunt for a five-man gang that raided the Nazir Pan House Restaurant last night, terrorizing and robbing customers at gunpoint.

The incident occurred at around 10:20 PM on Saturday. According to a police report filed at Parklands Police Station on June 6, five masked men operating on two motorcycles stormed the establishment on a daring robbery mission.

Two of the suspects were armed with what eyewitnesses described as pistols. They confronted the director of the restaurant before turning their weapons on the customers.

One customer was robbed of two mobile phones—an iPhone 15 Pro Max and a Samsung A50, with a combined value of Ksh.165,000/-. Another patron was stripped of his wallet containing his personal ID, bank cards, driving licence, Ksh.4,000/-  in cash, and car keys to his Toyota Noah motor vehicle.

The gunmen managed to escape on their getaway motorbikes, speeding off toward the Westlands direction.

Officers from the Parklands command visited the scene shortly after the emergency call. No injuries were reported during the terrifying ordeal.

Detectives are now appealing for information that would assist in apprehending the armed gang, which reportedly is responsible for the recent spate of armed robberies within the Westlands region.
