Detectives in Kirinyaga have rescued a 14 month old baby who went missing last week in Kingombe area after she was allegedly stolen by a relative.
The team of sleuths and the local police later nabbed the main suspect behind the incident.
The Detectives said the suspect, was tracked in Kimbi areas and was later taken to Kutus Police station where the family members met and agreed to forgive and move on.
Five days since the baby went missing after her mother Mary Njoki left the baby in the hands of her nephew as she went to shave at Kiangothe town.
According to Njoki she got out of the barber shop only to find them missing.
Unable to locate her, the family reported the disappearance at Kutus Police Station the same day.
According to the investigator, the child was rescued safely at the suspect hideout with no injuries inflicted on her and was later reunited with his parents who had been briefed of the rescue mission.
