Azimio La Umoja One Kenya coalition leader Raila Odinga on Thursday led supporters in anti-government protests in Nairobi’s Imara Daima area.

Odinga’s convoy joined Mombasa Road some minutes past 1 p.m., down to the residential area in Embakasi South constituency.

He was flanked by Azimio co-principal Martha Karua, Wiper Party’s Kalonzo Musyoka as well as other opposition leaders.

Thursday marked the third edition of the anti-government protests following Monday’s and last week’s.

Similar to the previous protests, there was minimal activity in Nairobi’s Central Business District, but Thursday was significantly scaled down in terms of exchange between the police and protesters.

However, a section of the Mathare area saw police lob teargas at protesters in the midmorning hours.
