Raymond Mwakyusa, popularly known as Rayvanny, is marking one year since he departed from Diamond Platnumz’s record label, WCB.

The Next Level Music (NLM) label owner expressed his growth and successful journey since becoming an independent artist.

Rayvanny shared insights into his decision to leave WCB, emphasizing the need to progress and support emerging talents.

“It’s just growing steps to move from one place to another. So I said ok, at the stage I reached, I can move myself, and I hold the hand of other people,” Rayvanny explained.

He thanked God for the fruitful year and highlighted the positive strides he has made with NLM.

Acknowledging WCB as a family, Rayvanny shed light on the informal setting where he informed Diamond about his departure.

Despite initial tensions, he emphasized the understanding and support he received from his former boss.

“Even if there were tensions and whatnot, we were able to finish and still have a good relationship. It’s a matter of sustenance, it’s a matter of money. Agreeing is not easy. But we managed to finish on a positive note. I told him informally. We were just sitting in the living room, and I told him,” Rayvanny recalled.

Regarding the financial aspect of his departure, Rayvanny disclosed that he has already paid the substantial amount demanded by Diamond Platnumz.

He hinted that the sum exceeded what Harmonize, another WCB artist, paid upon his departure.

“It’s not good to say, but it could be twice as much as Harmonize. I paid. I have already paid,” he stated.

Reflecting on the experience, Rayvanny expressed that peace and maintaining respect were more important than the monetary aspect.

“The main thing is to keep the respect and have love. We finished as a family.”

Diamond had disclosed that Rayvanny paid WCB more money than Harmonize when he was exiting the label.

Diamond was asked whether Rayvanny’s exit was different, and that’s why there wasn’t a grudge.

He denied claims that Rayvanny never paid money while leaving the label.

“Not true. Rayvanny paid a lot more money than Harmonize,” said Diamond.

The two have maintained their friendship even after Rayvanny stopped working under Diamond.
