Former Rugby 15s national team captain Victor Sudi has been re-elected as chairman of Kenya Harlequin Rugby Football Club during the club’s Annual General Meeting held at the Kenya Harlequin clubhouse, RFUEA, Nairobi, over the weekend.
In his remarks on Saturday evening, Sudi celebrated his re-election and highlighted the club’s achievements, stating that future efforts will concentrate on youth development and improving the standards of women’s rugby at the club.
“When I took over in 2022 from Michael Wanjala, my dream was to make Quins the home of rugby where youngsters would come, get developed into being responsible citizens in the country.
“That will, in turn, lead to significant success both on and off the field, allowing us all to contribute to building our society,” Sudi stated.
He also noted that the recent victory of his club at the Ingoo 7s in Kakamega has set a benchmark for success and standards to strive for. Additionally, he expressed his gratitude to the outgoing committee members, including former vice chairman Felix Ochieng, Rosemary Korir, and Onespol Gachanja, for their dedicated service to the club.
