President William Ruto returned to Nairobi on Saturday evening after a three-day state visit to the United States. Senior members of his Cabinet, including Interior CS Kithure Kindiki and Interior PS Raymond Omollo, welcomed him.
Defence CS Aden Duale and Leader of Majority in the National Assembly Kimani Ichung’wah were also present. Inspector General of Police Japeth Koome and other senior officers were on hand to receive the head of state, along with Head of Public Service Felix Koskei.
Upon his arrival, President Ruto expressed his happiness to be back home.
“It’s good to be back home!” the President said on X.
His visit to the US was the first by an African leader in 16 years.
The President’s visit to the US began on Monday in Atlanta, Georgia.
