Shakib Cham is not holding back when it comes to celebrating his wife Zari Hassan, pouring his heart out on Facebook with a glowing birthday tribute that has fans talking.
The entrepreneur took to social media to mark Zari’s 46th birthday, describing her as far more than a life partner.

“You are not just my wife; you are my peace, my strength, my best friend and the best part of my life,” Shakib wrote in his post. “I don’t know what I did to deserve you, but I thank God for you every single day.”
He also offered a prayer for the birthday girl, wishing her “more joy, more beauty, more money, and all the love your heart can hold” in the year ahead.
The sweet public moment is all the more meaningful given the turbulent period the couple went through earlier this year.
Zari, the Ugandan socialite and businesswoman widely known from Netflix’s Young, Famous and African, announced the end of her marriage to Shakib through a mutually signed statement on Instagram in June 2026.
The split sent shockwaves through their fanbase, particularly after Shakib revealed he had only learnt about the divorce announcement while scrolling through his phone early one morning, saying he was caught off guard by the news going public.
The pair had built their relationship over several years after Shakib, a self-described longtime admirer of Zari, first approached her in South Africa in 2019.
