ve launched investigations into the death of an 18-year-old man whose body was found inside a water tank at Ndere Health Center on Monday.

The body of the man identified as Stephen Ouma, who was mentally ill, was found floating inside the water tank.

According to Gem Yala Medical Officer of Health Dr. Chris Opati, the body was discovered by the staff at Ndere Health Center.

He told journalists that the staffs’ curiosity was drawn by some clothes which they found beside a ladder that is attached to the water tank, forcing them to climb to check the tank when they bumped into that body.

Ouma is said to have gone missing from his rural home in Madeya on Saturday and his family had been searching for him until yesterday when they got the news that his body had been found inside the water tank.

The body of the deceased was retrieved from the tank by the police and removed to Yala Sub-county hospital mortuary to await postmortem as investigations begin into the matter.
