Simple Boy’s ex-girlfriend Brenda has set tongues wagging after revealing she is in a relationship with a Mzungu man, dropping the bombshell during an appearance on Oga Obinna’s show on Monday, October 26.
Brenda was candid about the relationship, telling Obinna’s audience that her partner is currently outside Kenya but plans to visit.
“I am dating, but my partner is not in Kenya, but he will come. He is not on social media,” she said.
She explained that the two first crossed paths at a hotel, and their relationship predates her pregnancy.
The man, who she described as youthful rather than elderly, is from the UK and has been a consistent source of financial support.
Brenda revealed that her partner sent her money throughout her pregnancy, including instances where she was not entirely upfront about the reason for needing cash.
“He sends me money. When I say the child is unwell, he sends money. I sometimes lie about the child being sick. You even lie that your uncle has died and you get money,” she said, drawing laughs and raised eyebrows in equal measure.
She added that the man initially wanted to meet during her pregnancy, but she turned him down, and that despite the distance, he has embraced the child wholeheartedly.
“He also loves the kid,” she noted.
Brenda also used the platform to push back against public perception that she had mistreated Simple Boy.
She argued that the narrative was unfair given that her Mzungu partner, not Simple Boy, had been the one providing for her.
“That is why I was annoyed that people were saying I hurt Simple Boy despite all he did for me. He did nothing for me,” she said bluntly.
