Former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has offered to help a needy student following her viral video seeking for help.

Through his social media on Tuesday, he asked the young girl’s parents to reach out to his office immediately and provided the contacts.

“I have just come across this video, can the parents of this bright girl who has been called to Statehouse Girls reach out to my office immediately and not later than today? This girl must go to school today, we have to support the future generation who are leaders of tomorrow,” he wrote.

In the video, the well-spoken student who is yet to report to State House Girls where she was admitted pleaded with the former legislator to part with Ksh 40,000 to help her join Form One.

The young girl identified as Margaret Koki says she hails from Matuu in Machakos county and said the help would enable her to get a step further in reaching her goals.

“My name is Margaret Koki from Mikarakara in Matuu. I was called at StateHouse Girls. My mother is a single mother and she is taking care of my grandmother she has only been able to raise Ksh11,000. I humbly request you to help me,” she is heard saying.
