A Nairobi woman has confirmed that her beloved modified Toyota Vitz, widely known online as “Pinky Hulk,” has been found more than a month after it was stolen, though the car was returned in a strikingly different condition from when it disappeared.
The owner, who goes by the handle @Fibs on social media, announced the recovery on July 22, 2026, confirming that the vehicle had been located after 32 days. The car, originally painted green, had been repainted white, a change that pointed to a deliberate effort to disguise it from anyone searching for it.
Pinky Hulk’s Long Road Home
Writing in a post that quickly drew widespread attention, Atieno described the past month as “a gruelling 32-day journey of emotional and physical torture.” She confirmed that the car was in custody pending an ongoing investigation, and chose not to share further details beyond what the authorities had already been left to handle.
The recovery was the result of coordinated effort across multiple fronts. A dedicated ground team led by RollacultureKE conducted tireless physical searches, while dozens of social media pages amplified the story to keep public attention on the missing vehicle.
OCS Jamhuri, Mr Osewe, received special recognition from the owner for his involvement from the very first day, staying reachable throughout and playing what she described as a vital role in the recovery effort.
Gratitude After a Painful Month
Beyond the search team, Atieno extended her thanks to her family, including her mother, brothers, sisters, uncle and in-laws, for helping her stay composed during what she called an overwhelming ordeal.
“I am completely overwhelmed with gratitude,” she wrote. “This successful recovery was made possible by incredible teamwork, love, and support.”
She closed her message on a note of faith and celebration, thanking God for protecting the car and blessing everyone who had walked the journey alongside her.
