A taxi driver testifying in the Sharon Otieno murder case claims to have driven her and others to the scene of crime where she was allegedly killed in Homa Bay County.
The driver, Jackson Otieno Gombe, was testifying against Governor Okoth Obado and others charged with the murder of the university student and her unborn baby.
Gombe narrated to the court how he was instructed to stop and switch off the car engine and three men left him in the car and walked away with the expectant Rongo University student.
He alleged that after the three men alighted together with Sharon, they returned after about 10 to 20 minutes without the deceased.
The driver explained to the court that when he asked where Sharon was, the men told him that they left her at her home.
Earlier, the witness had testified that on September 3, 2018, he went to Caspal Obiero’s house to pick up some documents as he was using Obiero’s wife’s car as a taxi.
In the compound, he saw three people – Caspal Obiero, Michael Oyamo, and another gentleman he referred to as Dickens aka Dicky.
The driver claimed that Obiero’s wife Olivia warned him not to say what he had seen going on in the compound.
Former Migori boss Okoth Obado, Caspal Obiero, and Michael Oyamo are charged with killing Sharon Otieno and her unborn baby in 2018.
