Bungoma Governor Ken Lusaka has announced the death of his mother, Rhoda Namaemba Lusaka, who passed away on Sunday morning. Describing her as an icon and a great family pillar, Governor Lusaka expressed profound sadness over her loss.

“It is with profound sadness that I announce the passing of my mother, lay canon Rhoda Namaemba Lusaka, this morning,” he stated. He emphasized that she had been a significant figure in their lives, especially after the passing of their father in 1995.

As a dedicated member of the ACK church, Rhoda was an educator and an influential member of the church’s synod. Governor Lusaka mentioned that further details regarding her final journey would be shared in due course.

“Amidst all this sadness, we appreciate and celebrate her life,” he concluded.
