Former Arsenal midfielder, Gilberto Silva, has said a summer transfer that could see Neymar playing for the Premier League club is “not impossible.”

Neymar has endured a miserable time since moving to Saudi Arabia, playing just a few games for Al-Hilal before a major injury struck.

He hasn’t featured for them since the team went on to claim the domestic title in dominant fashion.

It is Neymar’s first year away from Europe since joining Barcelona back in 2013.

Silva believes the 32-year-old still has a lot to offer and would fit in at Arsenal.

He told Bet365: “I’d love to see Neymar in the Premier League with Arsenal, it would be interesting, that’s for sure.

“It would bring a lot of joy to fans and make the competition even more special.

“When you look at the Premier League, we want to see the best players in the world and to have him around would be great. Let’s see. It’s not impossible that he could join Arsenal, why not.”
