Atletico Madrid forward, Joao Felix, is set for a shock return to Chelsea, according to Mail Sport.

This follows the collapse of his team-mate’s proposed move to the Premier League side.

Both clubs had agreed a £34.5million fee for Omorodion, but the transfer has fallen through, due to issues in finalizing the particulars of the contract.

Atletico wanted to offload Omorodion to offset their deals for Chelsea’s Conor Gallagher and Manchester City’s Julian Alvarez.

Those deals are in place, but Atletico need to sell.

They have now revived discussions over Felix, who was previously on loan at Stamford Bridge, but had been a target for Aston Villa.

Felix, who scored four goals in 20 games for Chelsea, spent last season on loan at Barcelona, where he scored 10 times in 44 appearances.
