Real Madrid have triggered the option to buy Joselu from Espanyol.

However, Joselu is set to leave the club for Qatar.

The Spanish striker joined Los Blancos on loan from Espanyol last summer, after they were relegated from LaLiga.

Espanyol confirmed on Thursday that Real Madrid have triggered his €1.5million release clause.

However, according to Cadena SER, the 34-year-old will soon be sold to Al-Gharafa.

Joselu scored 18 goals in 49 appearances last season, as Carlo Ancelotti’s men won the league title and Champions League.
