Two Boda Boda Riders Killed In Accident On Kisumu-Busia Highway

Two motorcyclists died on Tuesday evening after they were involved in a fatal road accident at Simerro area along Kisumu-Busia highway.
The boda boda riders who have been identified as Samuel Odondo and Sylvester Omolo died on the spot after they were involved in a head-on collision.

According to Siaya County Police Commander Cleti Kimaiyo, one of the riders, Odondo, was moving from Kisumu towards Busia general direction and when he reached the location of the accident he tried to overtake another motor vehicle.

In the event, he collided head on with an oncoming motorcycle from the opposite direction and as the result of the impact, both riders died on spot.

The second rider identified as Omolo had a pillion passenger who sustained pelvic injuries and was rushed to Rang’ala mission hospital for treatment.

While confirming the incident, Mr. Kimaiyo stated that the scene was visited and bodies moved to Ambira Sub-county Hospital mortuary, while both motorcycles which were extremely damaged were towed to Ugunja police station.
