Tragedy struck in Bomet County as a bodaboda rider and their passenger lost their lives in an accident. According to police reports, the incident occurred at Chebole area along the Bomet-Kaplong highway.

A lorry bound for Bomet collided with a bodaboda traveling in the opposite direction, resulting in the fatal crash.

“Both the rider and the pillion passenger died on the spot,” stated Bomet Central deputy police commandant Ali Bashir.

Witnesses suggested that poor visibility in the area might have contributed to the accident.

The bodies of the deceased have been transferred to Longisa Referral Hospital mortuary.
