Paris Saint-Germain manager, Christophe Galtier has explained why Bayern Munich eliminated his team from the Champions League on Wednesday.
Galtier watched as Bayern Munich defeated his team 2-0 in the Champions League round of 16 second-leg tie on Wednesday night in Germany.
Bayern qualified for the Champions League quarter-final on a 3-0 aggregate win, having won the first-leg 1-0 in Paris.
Speaking to Canal+ after the match, Galtier said that many important absentees and the change of two central defenders cost PSG’s defeat to Bayern.
He noted that Bayern was also dominant in the Champions League first leg against PSG.
“The availability of the workforce, we have many important absentees in the first and second leg.
“We had to change two central defenders before the break. This obviously cost us a lot.
“Bayern were dominant in the first leg, but we showed a completely different face tonight. It’s not enough, of course,” Galtier said.
