Former President Uhuru Kenyatta received birthday wishes from radio presenters Muthoni Babytop and Wilibroda on Monday, October 26, 2026, during a live phone conversation that brought together two popular vernacular radio stations.

The exchange, which took place during the morning hours, began when Kameme FM presenter Gladys Muthoni Njoroge, popularly known as Muthoni Babytop or Wa Kirumba, called the former president while hosting the station’s Canjamuka show to wish him a happy birthday.

The two exchanged greetings and shared a light-hearted conversation before Babytop conveyed the affection she said Kenyans, particularly those from the Mount Kenya region, continued to have for him.

“Long live our king. We miss you; we love you. We wish you good health, and may all your desires come to pass. We wish you a very, very happy birthday. Now, please send a message to our people from Mount Kenya because we love you so much,” Babytop told him.

In response, Kenyatta thanked the presenter for remembering his birthday and said he continued to think about the people while praying for the country.

“On my part, I want to thank you so much for remembering me today. I always think about you, and I always pray for our country. We thank God for the gift of life. I pray that our people continue loving one another and remain united,” the former president said.

The conversation then took a lighthearted turn when Babytop moved from the Kameme FM studio to Milele FM, where she linked up with presenter Jacquey Nyaminde, popularly known as Wilibroda.

Babytop handed the phone to Wilibroda, allowing her to speak directly to Kenyatta and extend her own birthday wishes during the live broadcast.

Wilibroda began by expressing her affection for the former president before making a playful request for a birthday treat.

“Happy birthday, dear Uhuru. Invite us for cake, sir,” she said.

Kenyatta responded with an invitation to his family home in Ichaweri, Kiambu County, suggesting that the presenters could join him there for the celebration.

“Come to Ichaweri. The cake is there,” he replied.

The exchange prompted further birthday wishes from Wilibroda, who said she was doing well and was happy that the week had begun on a positive note.

“I am doing well, and we are on the show. We are happy that the week has started well. We are happy that God has added one more year to your life, and may He add many more years to it,” she told him.

Kenyatta responded by thanking God and expressing his hope for the country, urging Kenyans to remain united rather than allow themselves to be divided.

“Amen, amen. We are thankful, and we pray that our country may be blessed and that its citizens may not be divided but remain united. This is our country, and we will take it forward together. That is what I believe, and I know God will bless us,” he said.
