A video circulating online has left many Kenyans deeply unsettled after it showed a woman being physically wrestled onto a boda boda by two men while she screamed and fought back.
In the clip, a woman dressed in yellow is seen in the company of three men. The motorbike driver sat ready to move while the other two worked together to get her onto the seat.
One man stood on her left, physically lifting her, while the second positioned himself on her right to prevent her from bolting.
Woman Fights Back as Men Struggle to Restrain Her
The woman refused to cooperate throughout the ordeal. She retracted her legs every time the men tried to force her down, and at one point stood on top of the motorbike rather than sit.
The men spoke to her in vernacular, seemingly trying to calm or persuade her, but she remained defiant.
“Leave me alone,” she cried out repeatedly, pulling herself away from the bike.
The confrontation at times appeared violent, particularly when an elderly man yanked her forcefully towards the motorbike.
The dramatic footage left viewers speculating about what could have led to such a scene, with one person suggesting she may have allegedly been forced into marriage.
