Cyriel Dessers has reflected on Rangers’ victory over Heart at the Hampden Park on Sunday.

Philippe Clement’s side defeated Heart 2-0 to reach the final of the Scottish Cup.

The Nigeria international was the hero as he scored both goals for the Light Blues in the encounter.

Playmaker, Todd Cantwell provided the assist for the two goals.

Dessers has now scored 19 goals across all competitions for Rangers this season.

The 29-year-old was delighted with the win and also praised Cantwell for his contribution to the win.
“When you reach a final with Rangers you are always happy. It wasn’t easy but we got the job done,” Dessers told Rangers TV.

“We started well and we got the goal, which gives you an advantage as they have to come out and it gives you more space.

“There was a foul on James Tavernier but he didn’t stay down, he played it to Todd and he had a lovely assist.

“I had some work to do in the box, but I was glad to eliminate the defender and have a good finish.”
