Bayern Munich winger, Jamal Musiala has explained his decision to represent Germany at the international level.

Musiala was born in Stuttgart, Germany, to a Nigerian father and German mother.

The 19-year-old was raised from the age of seven in England.

Musiala was eligible to play for Nigeria, Germany and England.

The former Chelsea player represented both Germany and England at the youth level.

The youngster was courted by former Super Eagles head coach, Gernot Rohr, and he confessed playing for the three-time African champions crossed his mind.

“I could have played for Nigeria because it crossed my mind, and I thought about it well. I had good talks with Nigeria and Germany,” Musiala told TeamNigeriaUK3.

“So it really just came down to me and where I’d feel the most comfortable. So I decided to go with Germany.”

Musiala was part of Germany’s squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
