Alex Kimario’s wife broke her silence after her husband, a boda boda rider and choir member from Daraja Mbili in Arusha City, Tanzania, was allegedly discovered in a locked room, unclothed, alongside another man on September 21, 2026.
The incident took place in Moivo Ward, Arumeru District, in the Arusha Region, and quickly drew attention from locals, some of whom reportedly confronted Alex before authorities became involved.
Wife Left Without Answers
Speaking to the media shortly after the incident, the wife described walking into a scene of confusion, finding her husband being assaulted by a group of young men.
“I went inside and did not see anything, but I saw him being beaten by some young men. I have never seen him with young men, and I have never heard of anything like this involving him,” she said.
She added that she pressed her husband to account for his presence at the house, but received no satisfactory response.
“I asked him, ‘How did you get to this house?’ He replied, ‘Wait, I will tell you,'” she recalled.
What surprised her most was the nature of the allegations given what she knew of her husband’s character. Alex, she noted, is an active member of his church’s choir and attends services regularly, making the accusations difficult for her to reconcile with the man she knew at home.
Alex Claims He Knew Nothing
Alex offered his own account of events, insisting he had simply been doing his job as a boda boda rider when the situation unfolded.
According to him, two men had hired him to transport them to a particular location, and he had no awareness of what would allegedly take place once they arrived.
“I did not know about their behaviour. Now the homeowner is saying that I am the one who brought them, yet something was happening inside the house, and I knew nothing about it,” he said.
Alex was reportedly taken into police custody following the incident for further questioning and action.
