Zari Hassan is not here for the speculation. The Ugandan socialite and businesswoman took to social media to address persistent claims from netizens who insist she is well past 50 years of age, and she did not hold back.
In a video posted on her Snapchat account, Zari shut down the chatter with characteristic boldness.
“Whether you like it or not, happy with it, I am 46. But to make you feel better, I am 100… I hope it improves your life socially, economically, and financially,” she said, before turning the conversation around on her critics. “You look better than me? Are you richer than me? You’re still the same miserable person,” she said.

A video from Zari’s birthday went viral, leaving tongues wagging. The confusion, Zari explained, largely stems from the fact that she had children at a young age and has been visible in the public eye alongside them ever since.
“There’s no reason for me to lie about my age. I gave birth when I was young, and I have been growing up with them, so when you look at my kids, and you’re like, no, she must be too old,” she said, clearly frustrated by the recurring assumption.
The mother of five has long been one of the most recognisable personalities in East African entertainment circles, known for her outspoken nature and glamorous lifestyle.
