Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) have arrested two individuals suspected of stealing from locked motor vehicles parked outside banking halls.

Charles Mulwa Mwema and Shaban Maingi Rashid were captured following well-coordinated efforts by detectives from DCI Embakasi and the NCBA Bank Utawala branch manager to trace their whereabouts.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspects were wanted for other car break-ins and theft cases, including a recent incident reported at Bensquare Police Post on November 23, 2024. It is believed that the two suspects made off with Ksh.500,000 from a locked vehicle.

The duo was taken into custody in Embakasi and will be arraigned in court to answer for robbery charges.
