The regional Hearth Summit 2024 has commenced in Nairobi. This two-day event brings together over 300 change-makers to discuss well-being and outline a roadmap for collective action to enhance societal well-being. Hosted by the Wellbeing Project and Axum, the summit unites a diverse group of industry visionaries, innovators, and dedicated professionals committed to improving societal well-being.

Participants will engage in two days of impactful conversations and connections with like-minded individuals striving for positive change. The summit will feature inspiring talks, dynamic panel discussions, artistic performances, and immersive art experiences centered on well-being.

The event offers a transformative space for 300 participants to critically reflect on well-being through a uniquely Kenyan perspective, exploring how local political, economic, judicial, and social structures enable or limit well-being. Additionally, participants will examine well-being through a systems change lens, discussing the interrelated systems and practices that impact well-being at individual, collective, and planetary levels.

Key speakers at the summit include Chief Justice Martha Koome, Nyeri Archbishop Anthony Muheria, Wanjira Mathai (Managing Director, Africa and Global Partnerships, World Resources Institute), and Edwin Macharia (Partner, Axum Kenya; The Wellbeing Project’s Advisory Board). Topics to be discussed include restorative justice, faith and well-being, ecological belonging, and intergenerational well-being.
