Police have arrested a 22-year-old woman in Bonyakakomi village, Ibeno Location in Kisii County for allegedly stabbing her husband to death using a kitchen knife.
Sheila Nyanchoka Ombati is said to have differed with her 28-year-old husband, Wesley Aringa Okindo over domestic issues.
Preliminary reports indicated that the couple had quarreled over unknown issues when the suspect allegedly ambushed the man in a knife attack.
“The deceased was stabbed by his wife in the chest using a kitchen knife. He opened the door and went outside where he fell down a few metres from their rental house and died,” said Kisii County Police Commander Charles Kases.
The deceased who worked as a matatu tout had returned home around 9pm when the conflict ensued, Kases said.
The county police boss explained that the deceased had a deep stab wound on his chest and the scene was stained with blood.
“The police managed to recover a blood-stained kitchen knife that is believed to have been used in the attack,” said Kases.
