A mass casualty has been reported following an accident at Londiani, Kericho County.

Kenya Red Cross has confirmed the incident involved a 66-seater bus.

At least 44 casualties have been evacuated to various hospitals along the route.

“40 casualties have been taken to Fort Tenarn Hospital and 4 referred to Kericho County Referral Hospital by County ambulance,” the Red Cross stated.

So far, no fatalities have been reported.

The incident comes barely weeks after another accident was witnessed at the notorious black spot along the Molo-Kericho road killing five.

The deceased -four men and a child- died on the spot after the 14-seater matatu they were travelling in rammed into a trailer at the notorious black spot.

10 others suffered injuries and have since been taken to hospitals for medical attention.

The accident occurred around 3:30 am.
