An 88-year-old man has died after he was attacked by bees in Bungoma County.

A sombre mood swept through Nabing’enge village located in Milima Ward following the tragic incident.

“Alfred Muchele was attacked by bees and passed away early Friday morning while receiving treatment at Naitiri Hospital,” locals led by Patrick Wekesa said.

The village elder stated that the elderly man encountered the attack at the Nabing’enge market.

The deceased’s son, John Wekesa, has called on the government to intervene and assist the family with the funeral expenses.

Other residents led by Pastor Isaac Mutali expressed their sorrow, saying that they have lost an elder who contributed greatly to the development of the community.
