The Mavoko Law Court has given the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) 7 days to charge lawyer Angela Mulwa and Nelson Masiga.

Mulwa and Masiga are alleged to have stolen a Range Rover from a disputed 21-acre parcel of land in Mlolongo.

In a mention on Wednesday, the court granted 7 days to finalize investigations and prefer a charge against Mulwa and Masiga.

The car and property in question belonged to Dr Victoria Mutiso, who was shot to death on July 29, 2026.

The court on Wednesday also ruled that should there be no decision by the DPP to charge Mulwa and Masiga, the duo will be discharged unconditionally.

On the other hand, Masiga wrote to the DPP seeking to be allowed as a state witness. The request is pending a response from the DPP as the suspect remains detained at Mavoko Police Station until he finalizes processing his bond.

The matter will be mentioned on September 2 for directions.

Mulwa, who had been set free on a Ksh.1 million bail, was on Thursday evening re-arrested by Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) homicide detectives in connection with the murder of Dr. Mutiso.
