A 4-year-old boy is fighting for his life at Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH) in Eldoret after he was allegedly sodomized by a 16-year-old boy before being stabbed by a sharp stick in the chest.
According to residents of Kasore, Baringo County, this is not the first time this case has been reported. The boy is alleged to have done the same act to a 5-year-old boy, leaving him with serious injuries.
Parents in the area say they are forced to escort their children to and from school as fear has gripped the village.
Police in Kabarnet arrived at the scene to collect and write statements before apprehending the suspect.
Recently, women in Kasore village and areas of Sesia in Baringo Central held demos as cases of insecurity have been reported to be on the rise.
The terrain of the place, they said, has given criminals an advantage to commit crime and disappear in the valleys, making it hard to be apprehended.
