A video of Kakamega Senator Dr Boni Khalwale appearing to make a romantic overture towards political commentator Pauline Njoroge has gone viral, raising eyebrows given that his wife passed away just weeks ago.

In the clip, Khalwale can be heard telling Pauline directly:

The timing of the video has drawn significant attention because Khalwale’s wife, Gloria Sekeiyan Khalwale, passed away on August 15 after suffering a sudden heart attack at their home.
The senator reportedly attempted to revive her before she was rushed to hospital. Gloria was laid to rest on Friday, 21 August, at Malinya Grounds in Ikolomani Constituency, Kakamega County, in a funeral attended by national and local leaders.
