Priscilla Ojo had fans and fellow celebrities in their feelings on Monday, 31 August, after she shared a deeply personal birthday message for her husband, Tanzanian music star Juma Jux, on social media.
The post was a sweeping declaration of love that touched on everything from their marriage to his role as a father.
How did Priscilla celebrate Jux?
In the lengthy tribute, Priscilla described Juma as someone who loves her “patiently, purely, and intentionally,” and credited him with giving her life new meaning from the moment they met.
She called him her safe place, her biggest cheerleader, and her answered prayer.
“Loving you is the easiest thing I’ve ever done,” she wrote, adding that she is proud to watch him grow and achieve as a man.
A particularly touching section of the post centred on fatherhood. Priscilla revealed that while she always believed Juma would be a good father, witnessing him with their son Rakeem has moved her in ways she did not anticipate.
“I always knew you’d be a great dad, but watching you become one has exceeded everything I imagined. Seeing how you love Rakeem has made me fall in love with you all over again, in a whole new way,” she wrote.
She closed the tribute with a prayer for her husband’s new age, asking God to grant him joy, prosperity, peace, sound health, and long life.
“You will not fall, you will not fail, you will not be put to shame,” she wrote, tagging him directly. “Forever is us.”
Jux responded in the comments, writing:
