Kenyan TikToker and musician Collins Kuria, popularly known asCollo Blue, has challenged some of the country’s top dancers to a dance battle as he responds to people questioning his talent in singing, rapping, and dancing.
In a video shared on his TikTok page on Monday, September 14, 2026, Collo Blue said he was ready to face dancers who believe they can match his skills, insisting that the challenge would not involve the usual TikTok dances.
Collo Blue wants dance battle
Collo Blue said the challenge was also meant to settle the debate surrounding his abilities after some people claimed he could neither sing nor dance and had grown too old to continue dancing.
He first addressed the criticism in a mix of English and Kiswahili before calling on dancers to step forward. “Mnasema Collo Blue hana talent, hajui kuimba, ameezeka, aache kudance. Tunakosea heshima,” he said.

He then asked dancers to select their best performers and bring them to face him in a one-on-one battle.
“I want all of you to come together and bring me your best few dancers, probably one or two. I want to go face to face with the dancer. It won’t be those TikTok dances that we are used to,” he said.
Collo Blue said he has been dancing for years and wants the challenge to focus on his ability rather than the short dance trends popular on social media.
‘I started dancing in 2016’
Explaining why he feels confident about the challenge, Collo Blue said his connection with dance goes back to shortly after completing secondary school. He said he began dancing in 2016, meaning he has spent about a decade developing his skills.

“I started dancing in 2016, when I finished Form Four. It’s 10 years now, and I’ve been in the game for so long,” he said.
He challenged any dancer who believes they can compete with him to accept his invitation and help bring the long-running debate to an end. “If you are a dancer and feel we can go for a dance battle, then let’s finish this debate once and for all,” he added.
From dancing to music and content creation
Collo Blue has built his name online through entertainment and content creation, while also exploring music and dance. His creative journey has included dancing, creating online content, and later taking on music, where he has been involved in singing and rapping.
His latest comments come as he continues to present himself as a multi-talented entertainer rather than being known for only one form of performance. Dance, however, remains an important part of his creative identity, having started the craft years before becoming widely recognised through digital content.
With his latest challenge, Collo Blue is now asking dancers who have questioned his ability to meet him on the dance floor and settle the argument through a battle.
