A throwback clip from Oga Obinna’s talk show is making the rounds again, and Kenyans are reading into every second of it following the news that Nicholas Kioko and Wambo Ashley have called it quits after four years together.
The popular Kenyan content creators announced their breakup in a joint Instagram statement, revealing they had actually parted ways three months before going public with the news.
The pair said they used that time to privately come to terms with their decision before addressing their followers.
Despite the end of their romantic relationship, both Kioko and Ashley stressed that their three children remain their shared priority.

In the old interview, Obinna asked the couple whether they went through each other’s phones. Ashley said yes without hesitation, but Kioko had a different answer.
“I don’t touch her phone because I don’t want to die quickly,” he quipped, sending the studio into laughter.
Ashley herself turned to him and asked:
“Are you serious?” while Obinna backed Kioko’s caution, saying it was a wise call.
Kioko then let slip that he had broken his own rule at least once.
“But there is a day I went through her phone – I found friends and even a politician (in her inbox), but I relaxed,” he said.
Obinna immediately turned to Ashley and pressed her on why men, including a politician, were flooding her DMs. She was having none of it.
“I don’t want to speak about this,” she said flatly, declining to name any names.
The exchange, which was playful at the time, is landing very differently now that the couple has confirmed their separation.
The resurfaced interview has since gone viral, with fans treating it as something of an exhibit.
