Biker Brayo, whose real name is Brian, has urged motorists and other road users to be more careful on the road after a near-accident involving a motorcycle and a car.
In a post shared on his Instagram page on Monday, September 21, 2026, Brayo called on both bikers and motorists to understand how each other uses the road, saying better awareness could help prevent accidents.
Brayo recounts near-accident
Brayo explained that he was riding a motorcycle when a driver suddenly attempted to make a U-turn.
According to the biker, he was approaching at a high speed when the situation unfolded, leaving him with little time to react. He said the motorcycle’s Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) helped him stop just in time.
“As a biker, I know motorcycles don’t brake the same way cars do. In this video, I was coming in a little too hot when, all of a sudden, the driver decided to make a U-turn. Thank God my ABS kicked in, and I managed to stop just in time,” he said.
Brayo, however, pointed out that not all motorcycles are fitted with ABS, making it important for motorists and bikers to remain alert and give each other enough space on the road.
Driver and biker disagree
Following the incident, Brayo said he and the driver got into an argument over what had happened.
He explained that the driver maintained that no accident had occurred because the car had not hit his motorcycle. Brayo, however, said avoiding a collision should not be the only measure used to determine whether a situation was dangerous.
“The driver and I started arguing because they kept saying, ‘But I didn’t hit you.’ My question was simple: What if they had?” Brayo said.
He used the incident to encourage road users to look beyond whether a collision actually occurs and instead consider the actions that could potentially lead to one.
Brayo asks bikers and drivers to share the road
Brayo also asked his followers to give their views on the incident, particularly those who ride motorcycles and those who drive cars. He questioned whether he was wrong for approaching the situation at the speed he did or whether the driver should have taken more care before making the U-turn.
Brayo said both groups have a role to play in making roads safer, urging them to understand how different vehicles respond while on the road.
He ended his message with a reminder to road users to remain aware of one another and prioritise getting home safely.
