A Kenyan TikToker known as Geeh has gone viral after posting a candid, emotionally charged video from what appears to be a rural setting, opening up about how his life in Dubai fell apart and how he is now rebuilding from scratch.
The clip, filmed as a close-up selfie under a rustic thatched wooden shelter, shows Geeh speaking directly to camera in a raw, unscripted tone. He was not holding back.
From Dubai dreams to village life
Geeh described making a life abroad, only for things to unravel after he suffered an injury.
The setback, he said, created serious problems for his family, and he eventually found himself back home with very little to show for the years he spent working in the Gulf.
He told his followers that his wife and child are now the only people in his corner, describing himself as someone who has been “blocked” at every turn.
Despite the pain in his delivery, Geeh made clear he has no intention of giving up and talked about not having as many friends around him.
In his words:
“Na ni ukweli nimekam kujua mpanda ngazi hushuka. Karma si uongo. Mimi ni kijana nimetembea Dubai. Nilirudi na accidents. Meno sina, nimevunjika mkono, hapa ni surgery. Manze nilikuwa na life, nilikuwa naona already nishamake it, juu already nilikuwa naearn pesa fiti. Nilikuwa namake pesa ya adabu, nilikuwa naona natoa mzae wangu block, mama, mtoi na kila mtu nilikuwa najua tutawatoa block. Untill accident ikanihappenia. Ndio huyu mimi hapa niko ocha,” he said.
Now he is rearing his cow, which he says has been giving him money daily by selling the milk.
The video resonated deeply, particularly among Kenyans with first-hand experience of working in Gulf countries. Hundreds flooded the comments section with solidarity and shared stories of their own.
